IT System Administrator (m/f/d)

About Us:

Through our subsidiary, Aschaffenburger Versorgungs-GmbH, we ensure the supply of electricity, gas, water, and district heating to the Aschaffenburg region. We are seeking an IT System Administrator (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible, initially on a two-year fixed-term contract, for a full-time position.

What to Expect:

Maintaining and continuously improving our backup and recovery solutions

Administering, monitoring, and optimizing the virtualization environment to ensure stable and high-performance IT operations

Supporting our users with technical issues, as well as analyzing and resolving problems (troubleshooting)

Ensuring day-to-day IT operations as part of a team

Implementing and adhering to IT security standards, and ensuring an appropriate level of IT security

Collaborating on the planning, implementation, and documentation of IT projects

What we’re looking for:

A successfully completed IT vocational training program or a comparable qualification and relevant professional experience

A responsible, independent, team-oriented, reliable, and systematic approach to work

Willingness to familiarize yourself with the new area of responsibility with above-average dedication

Initiative, creativity, resilience, and the ability to think across departments

If possible, in-depth knowledge or experience in the following areas/applications: virtualization solutions in general and Broadcom/VMware in particular, Veeam Backup, and HPE storage solutions

Flexibility regarding work hours

Primary residence in the Aschaffenburg region

On-call duties to be assumed after training

Compensation is based on the TV-V collective bargaining agreement, in accordance with the role, specialized training, and professional experience.
