Software/Platform Engineer, Life Insurance (f/m/d)

Here’s what you can look forward to
Development and enhancement of a modern, service-oriented IT landscape for the life insurance division
Maintenance, support, and continuous optimization of server, software, and middleware systems
Platform engineering and development in the Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment
Implementation of new architectures (virtualization, cloud, and container technologies)
Ensuring stable and reliable operations while maintaining availability and adhering to relevant IT security requirements
Automation of recurring tasks using modern CI/CD and GitOps toolchains (Jenkins, Ansible, Argo CD, Git)
Documenting and optimizing processes and workflows within the team
Your Profile
Degree in (Business) Computer Science or training as an IT specialist with several years of professional experience in the IT field
Extensive experience in the operation and further development of distributed architectures
Excellent knowledge of administering Linux and Windows systems as well as application servers such as JBoss and Tomcat
Knowledge of container orchestration and Kubernetes platforms is a plus
Knowledge of developing scalable microservices (REST, OpenShift, deployment processes, etc.) is desirable
Strong analytical skills, conceptual thinking, and a proactive approach, combined with a strong commitment to process automation
Strong capacity for innovation, openness to new technologies, and the ability to work independently and take initiative
